I am a PhD student in Clinical Neurosciences, co-supervised by Dr Ari Ercole and Professor David Menon and supported by a Gates Cambridge scholarship. My thesis, entitled From big data to personal narratives: mapping the disease course of traumatic brain injury patients in intensive care, investigates the development of data-driven techniques (i.e., machine learning and pattern recognition models) to: (1) discover dynamic processes that unfold after brain trauma, (2) broaden the patient context considered for prognosis, and (3) individualise treatment effect estimations. At Johns Hopkins University (USA), I studied biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, and statistics with a joint focus on statistical learning and computational neuroscience. After completing my PhD in 2024, I will return to the US to start my MD course at Harvard Medical School.
