Acute Brain Injury
Dr Evgenios Kornaropoulos completed his PhD at CentraleSupelec, University of Paris Saclay which focused on deformable image registration for motion estimation in 4D medical imaging. Prior to that he had received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece) and his Msc in Biomedical Engineering from Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands). In between his Msc and his PhD he also worked as an Associate Researcher in the Clinical Image Analysis Laboratory of the Ohio State University (USA), during a joint appointment he had with the university and the Informatics and Telematics Institute-Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH/ITI, Greece).
After his PhD, he joined the Division of Anaesthesia as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in September 2017. Evgenios is now working on the study of neuroimaging biomarkers for better characterisation of the pathology of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), using both structural and functional imaging as part of CENTER-TBI.
