I am a visiting postdoctoral researcher from The Netherlands with a EU Marie Skcodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. I received my anaesthetic training at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam and did a PhD on new technologies in the detection and treatment of hyperglycaemia and the consequences of hyperglycaemia in the critically ill. I was based in Cambridge from September 2015/September 2016 and am now working as a consultant anaesthetist at the Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. My research focus is the changes in cerebral glucose metabolism after TBI and their relation with plasma glucose and structural outcome, using FDG PET data.
